Hermès Terre d’Hermès Eau de Toilette, created in 2006 by perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena, is designed to express the connection between man and the earth—raw, natural, and grounded. 
It opens with a bright burst of citrus (mainly grapefruit and orange), giving it a fresh, slightly bitter edge. As it develops, the scent transitions into a distinctive mineral and “flinty” character—often described as dry, earthy, and slightly metallic. The base is dominated by woody notes like cedar and vetiver, creating a warm, masculine finish that feels mature and sophisticated.
